Bringing back last years Shamrock Shake post! It’s just about that time to celebrate St. Pattys Day!
Staying healthy is not always easy. With a Green Shamrock Shake, it can be! It is a good idea to find treats and some healthy desserts to incorporate in your diet so you never feel unsatisfied. Since March is now here, many people see the tempting commercials for that fast food St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Shake. The minty, icy, smooth shake is tempting. But fear not! I have a healthy version and your kids won’t even know the difference.
There are many variations of this shake floating around the web. This version has 5 ingredients. The original recipe contains 54 ingredients that I am not even confident I could properly pronounce!
Mine uses Almond Dream Ice Cream making it dairy free and gives it an awesome shake consistency. You could also use coconut ice cream which would also be dairy free. I also added spinach. Why not?! You cannot even taste it and it adds in nutritional value. The raw honey is a major health boost. Raw honey (unlike that cute plastic bear that is available at your local grocery) store boosts your immune system, contains no pesticides and aides in healing!
GREEN SHAMROCK SHAKE
2 cups Almond Dream Vanilla Ice Cream
1 cup fresh spinach
1 Tbsp Y.S Eco Bee Farms Raw Honey
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
In a blender or Nutribullet mix all ingredients until a shake like consistency. Garnish with shaved chocolate and a sprig of fresh mint. Enjoy!
